Questions for Lexi DeHalo
Q: At what age did you start writing?
A: I started writing when I was in elementary school
and I continued writing (mostly poetry) all through high school. It was in
college that I wrote my first book though.
Q: Out of all the characters you have created, which
means the most to you?
A: It would have to be Adam. There’s a lot of depth
to that character and I enjoyed getting to know different parts of him. He
wasn’t one that could easily be labeled and I liked that about him.
Q: They say, "write what you know." Do you
ever project some of yourself onto your characters?
A: I don’t project myself so much as I do other
people I know. I take different parts of their personalities and things that
have happened to them in their life and use it as inspiration for a lot of my
characters.
Q: Out of all the books you have read, which is your
favourite?
A: Hmm. This one is always so difficult for me. I
love books from all different genres, but if I had to pick a favorite I would
go with a classic, Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice. I absolutely love that
book.
Q: Which authors have inspired you?
A: A lot of different authors have inspired me. I
can’t really say there’s one person that stands out more than others though.
Other authors mostly inspire me to write what I feel and take chances in what I
write. So you won’t see a distinct similarity between the authors that inspire
me and what I write but just to name a few of the authors I look up to:
Jana Downs
Lisa Jackson
Stephen King
Jane Austin
Edgar Allen Poe
Vivian Vande Velde
Joey Hill
Yuu Watase
Kanoko Sakurakoji
Q: Tell us about your upcoming release/releases?
A: Moon Resonance is the fourth book in the Be-Were
series. The overarching story plot continues when Charlie is sent out to find
the man who holds the Resurrection Stone. That is where he meets Xander. Xander
is a feisty little Halfling who is determined to take on anyone who gets in his
way. They made for an interesting team and I’m excited to see where this series
is going to take me next.
I thought Moon Resonance was number 3, did I miss one. I hope not, because I love this series! And who is next?

It is the third book. I think she is just thinking ahead. Hopefully that means she has finished the 4 and maybe even the 5th one. So we will not have to wait to long for them. Hopefully... :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read book 3, I love this series!
